Section 1) Coming from St Louis:
1. if your coming from North or West St Louis County,
you will probably want to come out of St Louis on Hwy 70 West,
and then make a left and head South/West on Hwy 54,
all the way into Osage Beach,
then follow directions in section 3 to 54-63.
2. if your coming from South County, take 44 West,
watch for Lake Ozark sign (and Hwy 7 Richland sign)
about 30 miles West of Rolla, make a right and take 7 into Richland.
You then have the option of:
a) taking 7 thru Richland into Camdenton and making a right on 54 East or
b) taking a right on Hwy A in Richland, bypassing Camdenton,
then make right onto 54 when Hwy A dead ends into it.
then follow directions in section 4 to 54-63.
Section 2) Coming from Kansas City:
1. Unless you are on the East side of KC,
I recommend taking 29/71 South out of KC,
then make a left on Hwy 7 at Harrison MO, take 7 into Clinton
and then go South on 13 to Collins, and make a left onto Hwy 54 E.
Stay on 54 E and follow directions in section 4 to 54-63.
2. from the East Side of KC, heading East on Hwy 70,
there are a couple different ways you can jump down from 70 onto Hwy 50,
and then Hwy 52. Probably the best is 65 South between 70 and 50, and
then 135 between 50 and 52, although 135 is a bit curvy,
and may not be fun in bad weather. So, from Hwy 70 Eastbound,
that would be right on 65 South to Sedalia,
then left on 50 East to 135, then right on 135 South to stover,
then left on 52 East into Eldon, then right on 54 West/south into Osage Beach.
then follow directions in section 3 to 54-63.
Section 3) Finding 54-63 as you come out of Osage Beach Westbound on Hwy 54:
You will pass Hwy KK (Tan Tar A Resort) and McDonalds on
your right on your way out of Osage Beach.
Shortly after that Hwy 54 will turn from 2 lane to 4 lane,
and you will see Mexicali Blues restaurant on the right
and the next right will be 54-63.
then follow directions in Section 5
Section 4) Finding 54-63 going Eastbound on hwy 54:
Regardless of whether you are coming from Camdenton on Hwy 54,
or have taken Hwy 'A' to Hwy 54, you will cross under an overpass for Hwy 'Y',
make your second left after that on 54-63. If you miss it you can make a
U-turn where 54 narrows from 4 lanes to 2.
then follow directions in Section 5.
Section 5) Once on 54-63, go about 1 mile, down the hill,
and make a right on tahoe,
and then an immediate left on the gravel private road EXCALIBUR.
Excalibur is very narrow private road which looks like a driveway.
You be going down a hill as you turn onto it, start going back up
the next hill, and then see a boat on a trailer, make a sharp left,
you may pass the neighbors parked black pick up truck and white minivan,
then right as excalibur starts up a steep hill our driveway opens up
on the right. Look for the stairs that lead down the hill by the well house.
The road right past tahoe is AVALON PARK, and it will get you to EXCALIBUR
as well. If you make the right on Avalon Park, go straight back and when
Avalon makes a sharp left, make a right down the steep gravel hill, and then
reverse into the first driveway on your left.
